Table Leg Installation Guide

Nov 6, 2024

Tools and Materials:

  • Drill
  • Screws (choose the appropriate length based on the size of the leg's mounting holes)
  • Screwdriver
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Clamps (optional)

Steps:

  • Determine Leg Placement
Flip the table so the tabletop is facing down (ensure the surface is smooth to prevent scratches, or place a soft cloth or sponge underneath). Position the legs in your desired location and use a measuring tape to ensure they’re evenly spaced from the edges.
    • Mark the Mounting Holes
Once the position is set, use a pencil to mark each mounting hole location on the tabletop. This will help keep your drill placement accurate.

      • Drill Pilot Holes
Note: If the screw holes for the table legs align with the resin area, skip those holes to avoid drilling into the resin.
Using the drill, make pilot holes at each marked spot. The pilot hole depth should be slightly shorter than the screw length to give better grip. Be cautious with the depth to avoid drilling through the tabletop.

          • Attach the Legs
Place the legs back in position, aligning them with the pilot holes. Use a screwdriver or drill to secure the screws into the tabletop. It’s recommended to start tightening from opposite corners to ensure stability and prevent tilting.

          • Check Stability
After all the legs are attached, gently shake the table to make sure the legs are secure and don’t wobble. Clamps can be used during installation if extra stability is needed to hold the legs in place.
          • Flip the Table
Once everything is attached, carefully flip the table back over to its upright position. Check the tabletop and legs for stability one more time.
